This album is a follow up to my blues album « Feeling Blue, » and features latin influenced pop/rock instrumentals. One reviewer called my style « Latin Blue, » because he said the blues feeling still comes though on the latin material. My work has been compared by some to Santana. I am a fan of his material, but have never tried to sound like him with the exception of « La Ranura, » which I wrote as a tribute to Carlos. In that tune I attempt to capture the vibe of the work he did back in the 70's, probably my favorite period.
The talented Geraldo D'arbilly is featured on percussion on most of the tracks on this album.
Geraldo is the best of the best in my opinion, and his work is outstanding.
All guitar work by David Bell, and all other instruments played by David Bell with the exception of « Esperanza » which features Erin Bell on bass, and « Walks with Angels, » which features Richard Montefiore on vocals.
